What is it about?

Assessing the performance of spaceborne vision-based sensors before launch is difficult since the operational environment is not readily available. Consequently, the behavior of vision-based sensors and algorithms operating in mixed or transitioning navigation regimes have remained poorly assessed before launch. To address these issues, this testbed synthetically emulates the space environment in high fidelity to enable training and validation of vision-based sensors and algorithms.
