What is it about?
We developed and flight tested an autonomous path planning solution for aircraft, which used information about the vehicle's performance to develop trajectories that were safe to fly. This solution would work for fixed-wing and rotary-wing manned and unmanned vehicles. Autonomous path planning worked around both fixed obstacles, such as terrain and buildings, as well as moving objects, such as avoiding a collision with another vehicle.
