What is it about?

The objective of this study is to expand upon previous research of different PNT solutions architectures to supply the navigation needs on the Moon and perform trade studies based on the navigation accuracy and costs. In addition, comprehensive analysis of the requirements published by NASA will be conducted and assess the extent to which proposed solutions meet these requirements. This paper outlines the design process, which encompasses the selection of suitable evaluation metrics, the formulation of a methodology for modeling and assessing architectures, and the execution of initial trade studies within a simulation environment. It will begin with an overview of system requirements, PNT architectures and motivation for building a framework for early design process PNT calculations. Following that, a discussion regarding the evaluation metrics that were both considered and utilized, in addition to the software employed for constructing the simulation environment.
