What is it about?

The small liquid rocket engines typically use the wall film that is created by a fuel jet impingment on the wall for cooling. The wall film flow dynamics is expected to greatly affect heat transfer rates by the liquid film evaporation. This paper reports experimental and analytical study on the liquid film flow dynamics on a variety of jet impinging parameters.
