What is it about?

Heat transfer calculation for non-conservative geometries, such as an airfoil, is difficult to calculate without complex numerical tools or experiments. This paper proposes a heat transfer correlation for a NACA 0012 airfoil, based on CFD numerical simulations. The correlation allows the heat transfer to be obtained, without the need of redoing any CFD work.
