What is it about?

Transonic buffet consists in the oscillation of a shockwave on the suction side of an airfoil and is one of the limiting factor of the flight envelope of an aircraft. In this study we will experimentally investigate (with optical flow measurement techniques) the influence of finite wing and sweep effects on the transonic buffet behavior.
