What is it about?
Arrays of actuators are commonly used to simulate or control streamwise streaks of low/high momentum fluid in laminar boundary layers. It has been observed in previous works that suddenly turning on the actuators causes an initially response of opposite sense as its steady state response. We demonstrate the this response is an intrinsic part of the dynamical response of the flow to step change in actuation.
