What is it about?
A stream of artificial pulsed air jet is injected to the flow on an aircraft wing to further increase the lifting force. For a new type of airfoil which has a rounded trailing edge, it was found that pulsing an air jet at the frequency which scales with the characteristic length of the trailing edge could achieve optimal lift augmentation.
