Validation of Numerical Virtual Flight System with Wind-Tunnel Virtual Flight Testing

What is it about?

The numerical virtual flight simulation platform, HyperFLOW-NVFS, is validated by wind-tunnel virtual flight testing. Three typical pitching-up maneuvering actions with a closed-loop attitude controller or an acceleration controller are tested to validate the capability of the NVF solver. The numerical results agree generally well with experimental data except for the states at high angle of attack and demonstrate the potential for simulating complex CFD/FM/FCS coupled problems.
