What is it about?

Civil aviation growth has led to significant delays and congestion around major urban airports due to traffic-flow and capacity imbalance. Our study introduces a bilevel optimization model for efficient flight sequencing at metroplex terminal areas. Tested in Shanghai metroplex terminal area in China, the model significantly improves overall scheduling efficiency beyond traditional methods, offering a robust solution to air traffic management challenges.
