What is it about?

Many safety researchers start with accident data and attempt to derive accident causes. Others may design or theorize measures to prevent certain kinds of accidents. This research takes a different approach by starting with safety measures and using accident data to project how effective the measures would be at preventing fatalities in General Aviation, or personal air transportation. We show how to score this effectiveness for a number of safety systems.
