Robust Nonlinear Close Formation Control of Multiple Fixed-Wing Aircraft

What is it about?

Inspired by the formation flight phenomena of migratory birds, close formation flight has great potentials in drag reduction and energy saving for fixed-wing aircraft. We propose a robust close formation control algorithm with the consideration of full nonlinear uncertain dynamics, and ensure certain control performance at different flight maneuvers.
