Evaluation of Structural Properties and Vibrational Spectra of New Active Twist Blades

What is it about?

The natural vibrational characteristics of STAR II blades in non-rotating and rotating conditions are examined. X-ray computed tomography images combined with cross-section analysis program are used to build the digital blade model. Measured data are used to evaluate the soundness of the blade elastic properties and to identify the sensitivity of key modeling parameters of the rotor blades.
