What is it about?
Simulated low-booms from NASA's X-59 aircraft were propagated through realistic atmospheres across the contiguous USA to assess the impact of heading, season, and climate on low-boom loudness and variability. Regression models were developed to estimate low-boom loudness and variability. These quantities are important for X-59 community noise survey test planning.
