What is it about?
Small multirotor aircraft atmospheric measurements can revolutionize existing atmospheric sensor networks and give way to transformative advances for aviation, weather forecasting, and environmental monitoring enterprises. We explore the performances of puller and pusher hexacopters inferring wind velocity employing a model-based state estimation approach. Our findings show that pusher hexacopters have a higher accuracy measuring time-varying wind fluctuations.
