What is it about?
Aviation regulations require that a substantial number of gust load cases be investigated during the design phase. We have developed a novel aeroelastic modeling approach to replace transonic computational fluid dynamics calculations. The approach significantly reduces computational cost with a marginal reduction in accuracy.
