What is it about?

To increase performance of composite propellants, high explosives are incorporated. In our work we used bicyclooctogene or BCHMX. It was found that incorporation of BCHMX in propellant increases their performance such as burning rate and using WinREAL code we found out specific impulse can be significantly improved.
