What is it about?
Scientific observation of atmospheric entry of objects is very valuable in reconstructing the trajectory and more importantly in characterizing the spectral emission signatures. This also serves as a validation for numerical radiation modeling tools and helps understanding the radiating flowfield better. This work presents the spectral data of Hayabusa2 capsule analyzing the surface and shock layer emission independent of observer location.
