What is it about?
The quick responding requires strong maneuverability capability, which can be obtained by increasing the angle of attack during the flight. However, maneuvering with a high angle of attack may result in the nonlinear aerodynamics. Therefore, the self-tuning control approach is adopted to design controller for the missile system. By incorporating the missile dynamic parameter estimation into the back-stepping control law, the influence of uncertain dynamics is eliminated, and the robustness of the system is enhanced.
