What is it about?
This study analyzes the value of the relationship between perceptions and community participation in using biopori techniques with the assumption that if the level of community participation is high in the use of biopori, it can trigger the City Government to create a policy of promoting the implementation of alternative systems in anticipation of this mass flood.

Why is it important?
This study aims to obtain the value of the relationship between perception and participation which is assessed from the knowledge and understanding and the application of biopore in the environment. By getting the value of the correlation between perceptions and participatory, it will be a recommendation to the City Government to promote similar activities in other areas in Medan City with the same steps and methods.
Perspectives
This study is to provide an overview of the condition of the study area, measurement of the level of acceptance and community understanding of the techniques that will be applied and the level of ability (ease) of the community in the application of biopori systems.
