What is it about?
Simulation using ANSYS WORKBENCH for Sluice gate considering the corrosion effect subjected to continuous submerged in hydrostatic pressure condition. An alternative concept and material were identified and analyzed to arrive at optimal solution.

Why is it important?
The work is unique in it self, we have seen people worked on experimental set up condition but very few could able to predict the life span of the sluice gate under the submerged condition in dam projects.
Perspectives
In my opinion, the work is novel in itself to arrive at alternative concepts to suite the prerequisites of dam conditions and current issues.
