What is it about?

This work shows how visual arts, especially illustrations can be utilized to drawing more interest to African Literature and tradition. This is particularly so with younger generations of Africans. It uses example of works of art created by pupils of elementary and junior high school for the 50th anniversary celebration of Things Fall Apart y China Achebe

Why is it important?

This is important because we have noted that younger Africans hardly get interested in their own stories and languages. Because we live in a globalised world, the lure of ocial media and foreign culture over the local ones seem great

Perspectives

We hope this article would be the beginning or many more in that direction. A renneisance of interest in African literature told by Africans, with beautiful images reflecting the people culture and tradition. Working with my co-author on this was also rewarding.
