What is it about?
The paper presents the technical aspects of a development of a monitoring system (ISM – Monitoring Information System) allowing a collection, processing and analysis of reliability and cost-related data of the operation of a fleet of vehicles. The platform allows performing advanced analyses according to the LCC (Life Cycle Costing) concept and IRIS compliant RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) methodology.

Why is it important?
Data Analysis Module (MAD) the key module of the ISM system allowing the performance of LCC analyses including analyses related to the costs of purchase, ownership, end-of-life operations, maintenance and operation, vehicle/component disposal as well as RAMS analyses including, inter alia, determination of individual indexes of reliability, roadworthiness, maintainability and safety.
Perspectives
The developed system, at the further stage of its development, will enable forecasting the cost and possibility (of occurrence) of malfunctions with a certain level of probability.
