What is it about?
Inhibiting the dissolution process of aluminium in HCl medium by the use of Napoleonaea imperialis seeds extract. Thermometric technique was employed for the investigation. The inhibitive effect of the plant extract was also studied in synergism with iodide ions.

Why is it important?
The study finds relevance in proffering solution to the destruction of materials made of aluminium in acid media using an ecofriendly, biodegradable and cheap material like Napoleonaea imperialis seeds extract as an inhibitor.
Perspectives
Napoleonaea imperialis seeds extract acts as a good inhibitor for the dissolution of aluminium. The use of ecofriendly and cheap materials like plant extracts should be encourage in mitigating corrosion of aluminium materials.
