What is it about?
This paper is about a new type of hard gear finishing process. It is used to improve the sound characteristics of hardened gears. We have shown in this paper why is this process important and his main advantages in obtaining state-of-the-art gears.

Why is it important?
Our studies show that this process, used to improve the characteristics of hardened gears by removing nicks and burrs and making corrections in tooth irregularities caused by heat-treat distortion, is the most suitable process for finishing hardened gears which are used in automatic transmissions, engines or other noise-generating mechanisms, because this process creates a surface lay favourable for quiet operations, by retaining the oil better on the surface of the gear flanks.

Writing the article was a great pleasure, as it includes the latest information about the topic, and the co-author is a very important person for me, who helped me develop myself professionally.
