What is it about?
Social farming integrates agriculture and social work and educational activities in farm surrounding. Social farming help integrate people with special back to society or to improve their well being. Social farming appears the most often within multifunctional agriculture. We perform at what point social farming belongs to heterodox economy field and that it can be presented as social entrepreneurship and rural development agenda.

Why is it important?
The agenda of social farming appears as useful practice in keeping rural sustainability. It also opens questions such as social solidarity and new working opportunities in the countryside.
Perspectives
The work on promoting social farming via different means is important for me. An academic article is a specific exercice, not always easy to grasp very variable, changing and multidiciplinary reality.
