Why is it important?
The overview and comparison of currently used methods are focused on their usability for assessing the geotourist potential of the different sites. Based on the methods, a holistic method for assessing geotourist value is proposed.
Perspectives
The method can be used for assessing particular sites both within rural and urban areas, however, some criteria should be widely discussed and reviewed.
