What is it about?
The paper introduced new techniques for detecting hard-had wearing offenders with high confidence. The proposed solution surpassed the previous methods based on the relative bounding box position of different instances and direct detection of hard hat wearers and non-wearers.

Why is it important?
A new approach, using artificial intelligence, to the problem of hard-hat detection based on the head localization. The proposed method gives very high confidence of hard-hat detection and can be easily used in many scenarios, including those outside civil engineering.
Perspectives
The paper was written as a result of interesting experiments, involving very diverse datasets. The method turned out to be effective also on data without a direct connection to civil engineering, which proves the versatility of the artificial intelligence in application to computer vision.
