What is it about?

This paper addresses emerging security concerns in our smart spaces. Nowadays, we are surrounded by sensors that are getting our information constantly. Having tools that allow us to get notifications about what is happening in our smart spaces is crucial to avoid cyber attacks. This paper is about how blockchain can help us detect suspicious transactions in our smart spaces. Suspicious transactions are operations that might be logical; however, are not correct in our current context.

Why is it important?

This paper introduced the novel concept of iContracts (interactive contracts). iContracts are based on smart contracts, but they provide more flexibility. iContracts enable contextual evaluation through proof-of-provenance to detect suspicious transactions in smart spaces.

Perspectives

I loved creating the concept of iContracts.
