What is it about?
food sufficiency is one of the basic needs for human beings. Food self sufficiency is not easy task to fulfill due to various factors in which one of them systemic one. Sharia agribusiness system which is operated based on the criteria of the maqasid sharia offers a comprehensive and theological perspective on how to tackle barriers and select a number of policies and programs which maintain how to meet food self sufficiency.

Why is it important?
We apply maqasid sharia in proposing an alternative to meet food self-sufficiency because this system provides both a comprehensive consideration and strong theological basis to apply this system as it is considered part of obedience to God.
