Why is it important?
East Africa Community is a revamped regional economic and political bloc. Tourism plays a major role in the economies of member states. This study is the first of it's kind analyzing how the political changing climate is impacting tourism development.
Perspectives
This paper is written by young scholars from the East Africa Community member states and it is the first of a series of planned studies on the region's tourism industry. The study also documents the various achievements by member states in making East Africa a competitive regional and global tourist destination.
