What is it about?
Americans living in rural areas have a higher burden of disease from diabetes. Since 2005, new and effective diabetes medications have entered the market. Our study examines if there are rural-urban disparities in the uptake of these medications and found that there are none. Rural-urban disparities in diabetes outcomes are unlikely to be driven by differences in the use of these medications.
