Financial Barriers in Emerging Adults With Type 1 Diabetes: A Qualitative Analysis

What is it about?

We interviewed 50 emerging adults and parents of emerging adults about their financial challenges in obtaining diabetes management equipment and supplies (e.g., Pumps, continuous glucose monitor, insulin etc.). The current healthcare system is challenging for emerging adults with type 1 diabetes and parents of emerging adults and is causing emotional and financial stress.
