Why is it important?

Results of a larger study using these methods can inform more effective assessment tools and interventions that may improve daily functioning and quality of life. Real-world assessment tools can inform clinical decision-making and treatment planning that considers barriers to self-management that occur outside of medical appointments. Technology-supported interventions can provide the right type of support at the right time by adapting to an individual’s changing internal and contextual state to maximize physical, psychological, and social functioning.
