What is it about?

We report that dietary intake during pregnancy was suboptimal in women with and without type 1 diabetes. Women with type 1 diabetes had lower intake of sugar and carbohydrate, at the expense of wholegrains, higher intake of fat and did less vigorous physical activity. Further research is needed to optimise maternal nutrition during pregnancy.
