What is it about?
We found that historic redlining is associated with a higher risk of gestational diabetes (GDM), with mothers in poorly graded neighborhoods facing increased risks. This connection was partly explained by maternal obesity and neighborhood poverty, highlighting the importance of diabeties prevention and considering where people live when addressing GDM disparities.
