Derivation and Validation of D-RISK: An Electronic Health Record–Driven Risk Score to Detect Undiagnosed Dysglycemia in Clinical Practice

What is it about?

In this study we derived and validated D-RISK, a novel risk score within the electronic health record, to identify patients who need to be screened. We found that D-RISK performs better than current diabetes screening guidelines to detect undiagnosed diabetes and prediabetes in clinical settings.
