What is it about?

Our study found that sex differences exist in the diagnosis of pediatric Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), including age at diagnosis and the presence of certain autoantibodies. These differences suggest that T1D may have different triggers for boys and girls, which could contribute to the observed difference in T1D incidence between the sexes.
