What is it about?

Post-pancreatitis diabetes mellitus is a frequent complication of pancreatitis and associates with poor glycemic control, which may lead to excess risk of adverse diabetes related outcomes. However, outcomes in people with post-pancreatitis diabetes mellitus have only been scarcely studied. We investigated the risk of adverse diabetes related outcomes in post-pancreatitis diabetes mellitus compared to type 2 diabetes (the most clinically relevant comparison group).
