What is it about?
Physical activity has been linked to diabetes risk in adult populations; there is little evidence examining this relationship in older adults. We show that regular stepping, especially as a part of movement taken at moderate intensity, is associated with lower risk of type 2 diabetes in a diverse cohort of women, predominantly in their late seventies and early eighties.
