What is it about?

We studied insulin sensitivity and secretion indices in 1061 islet autoantibody-positive relatives of individuals with type 1 diabetes. After accounting for BMI Z-score, age, sex and ethnicity, we found no association of the indices under study with type 2 diabetes-associated TCF7L2 genetic variants.
