What is it about?

We show that the normal range for blood ketone concentrations in people without diabetes who are having a colonoscopy is higher than was previously assumed. This finding has implications for people with diabetes who are taking SGLT2 inhibitors and need a colonoscopy, as fewer should need to have their procedure canceled at the last minute because of their blood ketone levels.
