What is it about?

Regression from hyperglycemia can result from regression to the mean, a tendency to return to the mean upon retesting. We show that untreated cases of newly detected diabetes and prediabetes regress frequently. This is in large part due to regression to the mean, but it is also related to weight loss and improved homeostasis during follow-up.
