What is it about?

Long-term glycemic control reduces retinopathy risk, but transient worsening can occur with glucose control intensification. We used meta-analysis and meta-regression to investigate the relationship between retinopathy outcomes and changes in glycemic control, systolic blood pressure, and body weight associated with GLP-1RA treatment in cardiovascular outcomes trials.
