What is it about?
Higher amounts of white rice consumption is linked to diabetes risk especially in South Asia. In China and other regions of the world, the risk was modest and did not reach statistical significance. Replacing highly polished white rice with other healthier cereals may help in slowing down the epidemic of type 2 diabetes in regions where white rice intake is high.
