What is it about?

T cells recognizing hybrid insulin peptides have been linked to destruction of β-cells in type 1 diabetes. A new study reports that T cell responses to a broad repertoire of hybrid peptides generated from C-peptide fragments are detected in the blood of individuals at-risk for type 1 diabetes.
