What is it about?
A straightforward method has been published for the estimation by flow cytometry of memory and naive regulatory T cells (Tregs). Unfortuntely a number of laboratories still use an older method that does not distinguish between the two Treg populations, and is also prone to errors (exludes part of naive Tregs and includes other cell populations). We point this out, stressing that flow cytometry data can be recalculated leading to correct estimates of Tregs.
