What is it about?
Consumption of a western diet during pregnancy, even in the absence of maternal obesity or insulin resistance, was sufficient for reprogramming of skeletal muscle metabolism in adolescent offspring. Switching offspring to a healthy diet at weaning did not fully rescue early life adaptations.
