What is it about?
Mitochondrial metabolism is crucial for the pancreatic beta cell to be able to secrete insulin in response to glucose. We examined the contribution of individual mitochondrial OxPhos complexes to beta cell function and found that defects in individual OxPhos complexes lead to different pathogenic outcomes.
