What is it about?

Genetic analysis of HLA sequence data shows that seven amino-acid residues on HLA-DQ molecules and their six motifs associate with the reduced risk of type 1 diabetes among young children, and diseased carriers of these motifs appear to have normal or reduced autoantibody levels.
